Cleveland ZipCore XL Irons

• MAINFRAME: Engineered with AI, the MainFrame utilizes a variable network of grooves, channels and cavities milled into the back of the clubface on ZipCore XL 4i-7i. This network helps maximize flex at impact for improved COR. MainFrame also utilizes weight pads to position mass low and deep, increasing MOl and optimizing the center of gravity for more forgiveness.
• ZIPCORE: In 8i-SW lofts, ZipCore replaces heavy steel in the hosel and heel with an extremely lightweight yet strong, vibration-damping material. This places the center of gravity where you strike the ball, giving you more consistent launch, spin and distance. Paired with our XL head, ZipCore provides an abundance of high/low and heel/toe MOl for increased forgiveness, feel and control.

  XL HEAD DESIGN: Our XL head design features a large cavity back profile with improved shaping and weighting across the entire range. With additional weight savings from ZipCore and MainFrame, we reallocated that weight to the perimeter of the clubhead, increasing MOl for incredible forgiveness.
• HYDRAZIP: ZipCore XL irons feature HydraZip technology and loft-specific grooves to balance spin performance across the entire range. In the 4i-7i lofts, HydraZip uses a rougher face with wider, flatter grooves to help reduce unwanted spin that can reduce your carry distance. Then, the 8i-SW lofts receive a slightly smoother blow, but with thinner, deeper grooves to increase spin on the approach. The wedge lofts also receive laser milling for superb short-game control and improved wet performance.
• V-SOLE: With a raised leading edge, our V-shaped sole allows these irons to glide across the turf without dragging like a traditional flat sole, helping you retain all the power you've generated throughout your swing. A lower trailing edge in the back helps maintain maneuverability for shot shaping.
• ACTION MASS CB: Action Mass CB places an 8-gram counterweight at the end of the shaft, near the top of the grip. The added weight in your hands makes the club feel lighter, promoting a more stable and controlled backswing. It also promotes a more inside swing path, a squarer clubface at impact and, ultimately, straighter shots.
